cbrown

I have never been a fan of Chris Brown but I respected the young star for what he had accomplished. Any fool could see he was quite talented. He could sing, dance his ass off and he even surprised me as in actor in This Christmas. Some thought he’d be the next Michael Jackson. A bit ambitious even before he assaulted his girlfriend but hey who could really say what would have happened. When the story broke last month I’ll be the first to admit that I was a bit jaded by the overcoverage. I felt that it was some lover’s spat blown out of proportion but I started paying more attention to it after TMZ released a picture of his girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna’s beaten face. I was angered that someone could do that to someone else. Regardless of who they are this type of abuse angers me. I am a survivor of an abusive home and it was our family secret.  My father was abusive towards my mother and eventually as I got older we would get into physically fights as I tried to protect her. So this hits home to me. Physical abuse is never acceptable and should never be tolerated.

*Tap tap tap* Microphone on? Ahem. Luckysjoint has found and would like to acknowledge another Kool Kid, Andree 3000. Also known as Cupid Valentino, Dre, Ice Cold, Possum Aloysius Jenkins, Benjamin Andre, Love Pusher, Johnny Vulture and 3 stacks. Ya’ll know who it is. He is the rapper and fashion extraordinaire (check out his fashion line Benjamin Bixby). The hip-hop turned renaissance fashion icon and actor who started off with his partner Big Boi in one of the most successful rap duos of the south. His lyrics are thoughtful and relevant. He’s conscious without being preachy. Your White Tee Well To Me Looks Like A Nightgown/Make Ya Mama Proud Take That Thing To Sizes Down /Then You Look Like The Man That You Are Or Wat You Could Be. I find myself always finding a gem in his lyrics. He’s fly and sublty mannish without trying. I love who you are I love who ya ain’t you’re so Ann Frank/Let’s hit the attic to hide out for bout two weeks/With change and no chains and whips I do suck lips/Till hips jerk and double time the boy next door’s a freak. And he keeps it so real that you feel like you know dude.

So they got em yall. OJ is going to prison. And it is for something stupid…stealing his own property!

OJ Simpson

OJ should have left the country 13 years ago. Instead he chose to golf, carry white women on his arm for all the media to flash in our faces for over a decade, participate in weird interviews for tabloid television shows and to write a  book entitled, If I Did It.  SMH

Seems like OJ did not learn his lesson so here are some obvious lessons that need to never be forgotten.

Lessons to be learned:

1. No matter how much this country loved you, if you are black you are still a n-word.

2. No matter how money (and Juice–pun intended) you have in this country, if you are black you are still a n-word.

3. No matter if you get acquitted for a double murder, if you are black you are still a GUILTY n-word.

4. No matter if the president-elect looks is black, if you are black and do dumb things you are a still a dumb n-word.

5. No matter who you are, if you are black and you walk into a room with guns and rob someone (even if the things you’re “stealing” belongs to you and your family) aaaaaaaand Johnny Cochrane is deceased, maaaaaaaan you are n-word in JAIL.

…And Bush and Cheney are free…take note of their color.

I am amazed at how dependent on the web people are in regards to their friendships and relationships. The internet is a great tool to network and meet people BUT it should not be your only source. Also, your online relationships should lead to real life relationships, preferably pronto. If I meet someone online for whatever reason, I want to lay my eyes on this person ASAP. I have friends. I don’t have a problem meeting people so I do not like wasting my time on someone who potentially is not who they say they are.

Don’t get me wrong. I have met some amazing people online. People that are in my life to this day BUT I dont form relationships with people that I don’t see or put my eyes on their living person. I might meet you online but we wont stay there. Ca’pesh?

One of my exes would call people online her friends. People she has never met and she would invite them into her home. Rent Free! It was always weird to me how she could create these pseudo-relationships without spending real human time. But then it made sense after I dated her. She was not good at talking. She talked like an IM–sporadically. She liked to be alone and did not really care for people in general. She could shut you out in a heartbeat. She was very private and very selective on what she would share. I thought this was because she protecting herself from being hurt, but now I think it was to protect someone from walking away because if they knew….oh boy…So now that I think about it, online relationships are probably the only ones she was good at. (Hate ending sentences with AT…ugh, oh well)

What is she going through?

This is NOT SO RAVEN!!!

My mommy always says that a little bit of lipstick and make-up never hurts anybody…JESUS! She’s not my type but J-Hud is looking absolutely gorgeous!

Elizabeth Hasselbeck irritates me on a daily basis.

Today she has a problem with the billboard that advertises a new HBO show, “Generation Kills.”

She feels that It is wrong to paint the very soldiers that gives us the rights we have as murders and killers.

I get so tired of people who have bought into the whole military equals freedom crap. It’s crap ladies and gentlemen. Freedom is a natural born right given to us by our Creator. War and murder is not the  path to gaining, protecting and securing it. Diplomacy and fairness is. In most cases, if people are treated fairly, they will respect the natural born right and desire of your freedom. When you shit on someone that is when they are motivated to infringe on your freedom.

I am the last person to crap on someone’s love but someone needs to say it: THIS IS PATHETIC!!! Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey I WILL SAY
THIS ONCE:
WE DONT BELIEVE YOU! YOU NEED MORE PEOPLE!!!!
This is the lamest picture I have ever seen…from their choice of outfits all the way down to the 16-year-old pose they are sporting.
What we have here folks are two people living a childhood they never had. She was too busy being married to an old man and he was too busy being a Disney child star. Now look at them!
It’s really sad. How old is she now? About 40? She should have married Michael Jackson. It would have made WAY more sense.
I mean really…posing with your teen boyfriend and Mickey with white Minnie Mouse stripper shoes on? Really? Omg. STOP
Kill them both. Thanks Jesus.

Sorry, I’m not a Beyonce Stan (Stalker-Fan) but when I saw this pic and immediately thought, “I love a girl in t-shirt and jeans!”  Give me a simple look any day and I’ll take it. I’m not the biggest Beyonce fan but I like her. I enjoy her music. I wish she would dress down like this more often. The make-up and the addiction to sequin is sometimes just too much.

Shout out to B! I see you reppin’ Texas.

Who would let this woman hold their child?
