When I roll with my sidekicks we have fun REGARDLESS! Regardless if the place is wack, the people are lacking and even if it is not our scene, we have a good time. When we go out with other people we noticed that this is not always the case so we’ve made a few commandments for the newbies…the wifeys to be…the homies…whatever:
1.Thou shall be able to drank (Not drink).
1a.Caveat: Please be able to hold your liquor. We do not do sick people.
2.Thou shall be able to do her own thing. Mingle, meet and flirt! Do you! This is a social setting. Be social!
3.Thou shall allow us to do commandment number 2 without any objections or problems from you here in the place or even after we leave.
4.Thou shall know when to speak. No one wants to be put on blast. Sometimes people say things or you may hear something. Choose your words responsibly because everybody is not drunk.
5.Thou shall keep up the energy. If we are throwing shots, you take ‘em. If we are dancing, no standing on the wall. Keep the party jumping because you acting all bored is a buzzkill!
6.Thou shall be a grown up. Act your age and not your shoe size people. No pouting. No attitude when things don’t go exactly as planned. If they don’t have Goose, get Skyy. Live a little!
7.Thou shall realize that women will try to speak to us. Women will try to throw shade. Be able to brush that off your shoulder. No one wants to hear that later when you already know that we are not looking for those other women.
8. Thou shall not show up broke. Keep your pockets UP man. You don’t have to bring a bank but bring something. I got you but sometimes you gotta buy some rounds too. We the Rock boys, we throw shots and pop bottles.
9. Thou shall come out with a sense of style. Whatever is it…DO YOU! Have a way aboutcha self. Property value is important man. You lame. I’m lame. Nah man!
10. Thou shall not let people get up in our business. Know how we rolling. Don’t assume you are the girlfriend or date. We are HANGING/KICKING it, nothing more or less. Stay in your place.
10a. IF you are the wifey, you don’t have to broadcast it. Folks will know and I’ll remind you when we get home.
It’s that simple man. And yes, regardless to if you follow these rules we still going to have a good time! (Just don’t expect another invite.)
